Ok, so I've been busy over the last few days, not really for exams, but for something else.

I'm not sure how many people I told about applying for the BCIT Medical Lab program, since that was way back in the summer.
I had three plans in terms for school the past semester:
1) Go to BCIT in Jan (that's when the program starts), if that fails
2) Apply and get into the Medical Lab Degree at UBC, if that fails
3) Continue with my Biology degree.

Well basically, after applying, I got put on the waiting list.
I kinda figured that there's no hope of me getting in, since I haven't heard anything for the longest time. Plus, I was technically one of the last people to apply for the program, so there should be plenty of people ahead of me.

So, imagine my surprise a couple days ago, when I received a phone call from BCIT in the morning. They told me they had space in the program, and that I have to reply to them by 12PM of the next day.
It was quite a shocker, to say the least. I've already been prepared ages ago to move on, and to learn that I got in..?

I donno... I didn't feel like going, to be frank. In my mind, I was all ready for the next term. I've talked to my parents, Auntie, and Roy... and they all told me this is a chance that I shouldn't pass up, as this is one of the programs that are on and off at times.

So I accepted the offer with tentative feelings.

I am going to BCIT this coming January.

And throughout these couple of days, I've been trying to sort out things from both ends.
First, there's the documents required from BCIT, tuition... then to cancel everything on the UBC side, such as housing, courses (which I still don't have the nerve to drop yet).
Oh, and the student loans too... *sigh*

I donno... I think the only thing holding me back is people at UBC right now.
I love UBC.
I love being at UBC.
I am proud of being a part of UBC.

I know that I can always go back and finish my degree, but it's... not quite the same.

Maybe it's just my apprehensiveness of going to a new school?
I'm not sure why I don't feel like this is such a great turn of events.

Even as Tinna reasoned, I wanted this.
I wanted to be accepted. So why now, am I feeling a bit of cold feet?

This winter break is, and will, be interesting, that's for sure.
But for now...

Just got this mass-email in my box from my Classical Studies 301 prof, and am quite shocked to see so:

This e-mail is for the student who decided to steal another student's wallet while fetching his/her own belongings at last evening's exam.

It would greatly appreciated by both this student and by the rest of this class if you would be decent enough -- having no doubt already removed the fifteen dollars and Visa card (which was cancelled immediately and so is no good to you) -- to place the wallet immediately in a conspicuous place so that it might be found by a janitor, for example. Or you could toss it in a mailbox to be found that way. The student would rather not have to get another driver's licence (also no good to you) or U-Pass (ditto).

If you have already tossed the wallet, perhaps you could give a call to Campus Security (from a pay phone, if you desire anonymity) and let them know that you saw someone tossing it so that they might be able to find it. It's a small gesture, but if you find it within yourself to do this you will exhibit one redeeming quality.

The upside of Vending Machines

So I was waiting for the BIOL334 final package to print at the BioSci building around 2:30pm, and decided to sit on the staircase beside a vending machine.
At first, I thought about getting a bag of chips since I was waiting, but I figured they're over-priced and I don't want to get fat (lol) so I didn't get one... but I regret that now!

This construction guy went to buy a bag of chips, puts in $2, expecting $0.50 back.
The change drops as usual, and we hear the sound of the machine spitting out coins.
The thing is though.... it kept spitting!

5 Drops of coins is already good enough, considering if they gave it in 10 cents change, but noooooooo!
It was just constant dropping of coins, non-stop!

*drop*
*drop*
...minute or two later... (during which we started remarking about how much he put in, and how it's still spitting coins)
*drop*
*drop*
*drop*

It was crazy I tell you!! And I'm seriously not kidding about how long it lasted!!
He fished out the coins, in which he had 2 hands-full of coins...

If that's not lucky, I don't know what is! Or maybe someone's just spiting me for not buying a bag of chips.
Either way, next time I want a bag of chips from BioSci, I'm going for the kill.

I was walking back to Gage for lunch when I spotted this stand between Brock Hall and the SUB. Seemed like people where going, and after grabbing something, left just as quick.
So I went to check it out, and turns out that since it's UBC's "Learning Exchange" 10th year anniversary, they were giving out cupcakes :D

They were small, but super cute, and SUPER delicious <33

So I spent the better part of my day reading Vampire Game yesterday.

It's bittersweet, because the I find the plot very intricate, and the characters quite endearing
...not to mention they're HOT too haha~ From Darres-type, to Yuujinn-type, to Vord-type

BUT! I shouldn't be reading this!! Especially not now with midterms tomorrow! ;o;

I haven't finished reading it yet (I'm at volume 10), but... ahhhHHHH!

My milk is supposed to expire on the 17th, but it's already gone bad D:

I usually buy 1L, but this time I bought 2L... and I wasn't even halfway done yet!!
Plus, I mixed a little bit of the bad milk with the chocolate milk, so 3/4 cup of chocolate milk is gone too ;o;

Such a waste... of milk and money!! ;__;

So I just read the latest of Akuma to Love Song, and all I can say is: Oh-Em-Gee!!

Starry-Heaven really meant it when they say this chapter was good XDD
It's quite shocking, really!

Megu! I didn't know you had it in you!!
Way to go man, way to go X3

But other than that, I'm really starting to like Ayu. Ever since the last chapter, I've got this whole new respect for her.

I remember at the beginning of the series, I felt the whole class (other than Megu and Yuusuke) was excruciating corrupted. And to see it come this far in the latter half of these 20-something chapters...
Kind of brings tears to my eyes XD

Can't wait to see what comes next though! Ibuki Hana, you better watch out!

So I went to this cooking workshop today, an event by Food Society (student club at UBC).
It was held at this restaurant on Broadway called Portobello.

Had an awesome time! The food was so delicious!
So basically the whole restaurant was reserved for this event, with the first session at 5PM and another at 6:30PM.
We got a little demo and hands-on experience making this salad (a cheeseball with tomatoes, onions, basil, among other things--doesn't sound too delish, but it was awesome XDD)
Then we got to cook the sauce ourselves, and cut our own pasta (is that fettuccine? I'm bad with pasta names)

But omg~ Eating it was the best part <33
All that, and pizza appetizers, and OMG! AWESOME AWESOME Tiramisu!!

Sooo delicious~~ <33
Even now, I'm still kinda stuffed lol~~

But yaaaa, had an awesome time! I heard from Joey there will be a chocolate-making workshop coming up!!
I HAVE TO GO TO THAT XDDDD

Animanga talk: Asklepios

Wow, just finished reading the manga Asklepios, and am a little disappointed that it ended

It's the first time I've read a manga that's medical-based like this, which is a really nice change!

I really like reading about the surgeries and all that, plus the change that Buzz brings after each procedure... it's pretty amazing!
Though I have to admit some of the dissections themselves make me uncomfortable (since I tend to imagine what it'd be like if it's done on me .__.), but it's also enticing at the same time!
Plus it's set in the times where the church was in power, and all those who doesn't fall within what the church regards as "wrong" or sinful, are referred as heretics.

This really just keeps reminding me about my classical studies course; they even talked about the Four Humours too! XD

I was like, OMG~ FOUR HUMOURS! haha XDD

But omg~ When Pare died, I was so sad D:

THEN TO FIND OUT HE'S ALIVE at the VERY LAST PAGE!?

...in a good way though :D

So shocking man... I give Asklepios major props!

So yeah~ The brawler is actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
Probably because of the Somersault Kick that can already mob XD

Before that though, every character above 20 had to watch the KoC intro movie.
It was pretty cool the first time. Not so much after that.
See, if they can make it an option for us to skip that movie, then it'd be ok.
But nooooo, we have to watch till the end. Lame.

Ereve is a pretty nice place though. The music is somewhat catchy :3

I remember my dilemma when I wondered what I should choose. Someone on my buddy list said to go for Thunder Breaker compared to Blaze Wizard.
At first I was regretting it, but brawlers are a lot of fun o___o''

Pre-level 14 was pretty easy to do. Then I came to Henesys to get the quest from Roca, where we had to kill the Cynical Orange Mushrooms.

For the life of me, I couldn't find it lol~
Had to look up on google, in which StrategyWiki said that they're in the new Hidden Street, accessible in the map right of Henesys.
Who knew there was a new portal there anyways >__>''

And for those curious about the "Black Shadow in the Pig Farm", it should be the tree on the left, closest to the dip on the right.
Of course, I haven't confirmed that it'll be the same spot for everybody yet...
But haha, all that happens is that a shadow appears and hangs around for a little bit, then you click again, which will say you're done (Saw shadow, check back to Roca)
I thought we had to attack it or something o__O

Oh yeah, before I forget... I tried to Cash Shop transfer some of my items, and it seems the KoC characters have their own Cash Shop menu.... meaning that it can't be shared with my other characters D:
That's lame too :/
Since I only recently found out I could do that between my Priest and Crossbow XD

Aww... now I have to go back to Neinheart again :P

Just watched a Japanese film called "My Girlfriend is a Cyborg" / "Cyborg She" since my dad was watching...
I bawled in the end .__. Though I didn't bawl like I did with "Two Brothers", but still >__>;;

And I did some research afterwards, and the director of the film is Kwak Jae-Yong, AKA the guy who directed My Sassy Girl OoO

Kinda funny too, since the main guy (Keisuke Koide) looks exactly like the main guy from My Sassy Girl (Cha Tae-Hyun)! lol~

Now that I look back, I -did- get some My Sassy Girl vibes.. hmmmmmm :3

But yeah, I'll update with a real update soon ;o;

I seriously SPAZZED (to jenzay and natashabu) when I found out, since it's not JUST the dub...

They have the subs too!!!

Also, it's not the regular YouTube size, it's A LOT bigger!!

I'm really excited for this new direction YouTube is taking!

I'm guessing that if the DVD sales of these anime series goes well, other anime companies will follow their lead <33

Wow... I definitely haven't updated in a while :/
It's just I had so many things to talk about, but kept postponing it, and that just makes it worse since it just accumulates even more .__.

Anyways,

I'm watching Singing in the Rain (the movie) again at the moment, since I'm studying the pieces o__o''
Later, I have to go and practice my parts, since I still can't get some right >__<''

But yeah... I've been feeling pretty down a few rehearsals before, since... well.. I'm really out of tune lol
I lost my embouchure because I haven't been regularly playing since high school and it's making me extremely flat :P

So yeah, it was a bit embarrassing when I was tuning = A= But it's really more of a confidence and pride thing.
And well, my confidence definitely hit a low point, that's for sure :(

Then I realized. Why did I join the musical in the first place?
Of course, it's to enjoy being part of it, and have fun.
Having fun should be my most important priority in this musical, but I wasn't.

So the heck with all the pressure. I'll definitely try and improve myself, but I will enjoy myself while I'm at it.

That reminds me, the cork on my headpiece was soooo loose, and I didn't realize that I should've replaced it a loooong time ago lol
Since technically I'm supposed to get my flute checked every year, and I haven't done that ever. And I've had my flute for almost 10 years o__o''

So yeah, I brought it in and went to pick it up on friday since they phoned me thursday afternoon that it's ready for pickup.
But... I waited at least 3 hours for it at Tom Lee, and didn't get my flute.
Basically I wasted 5 hours in total to attempt to pick it up.

Apparently, the technicians all went to this workshop in the morning, and they were supposed to be back at around 12PM
When I first arrived at 10AM, the guy told me that they're just running late. So I waited with my MP3 and started to draw. Then 11AM rolled around... then 12PM. Which by that point, is totally ridiculous.

I seriously didn't even know why I didn't even complain about that, but I went out to grab lunch. Then came back... THEN the sales people told me they won't be back till almost 1PM because of that workshop.
"The technicians should've told me that they weren't open in the morning."
Hell yeah!
So obviously I waited...till 1:30PM for nothing.

Then she told me that maybe I should come back another day or something, but I needed it that friday night for the rehearsal. She suggested I com back later that day, so I told her after 5PM, since I have class till 5.
Then UGH, the bus ride back.
I've learned one thing: There are TWO #17 buses in Vancouver. One is Downtown/Oak, another is to UBC.
I took the wrong one, and had to walk back to Broadway St and several blocks in order to find the closest 99B-Line stop.
*head-desk*

So I had to go at 5PM again, after class, and finally got it at 5:30PM-ish.

It was a pretty horrible day, to say the least. But.... I didn't complain.

Why didn't I complain!?!?

I realize my mistake now, but... I was just so happy that I finally got my flute back.
I'm such an idiot.

So bottom-line is:
Tom Lee Music at Granville has the worst customer service, not even doing anything in compensation.
DO NOT GO THERE FOR INSTRUMENTAL REPAIRS!!

I was so screwed over. And please, do go and spread the message, hey?
I lost my chance to complain when I left, but at least I'll do my best to make an impact now.

I gotta make another friend-locked post and an animanga one later, but... I should go and practice for the dress rehearsal later :/

It was a lot of fun to hang out, with Aaron too. It's really been a while since I've seen either of them~ XD

Hmm~~ Looks like I haven't really gushed about 07-Ghost, even though I've been pretty obsessed with it *reprimands self*

So I kind of figured that the Hausen household used to belong to Castor, there being so many clues.

Aww :( We finally learn how a bit about Castor's past and how he met Razette.

And wow.. that final scene was pretty shocking, to say the least.
At first, (since the page number of 31 was named 031 and I accidentally got a sneak peak since my manga viewer places 031 before 04 :P) I thought that Castor was assassinated or something, hence why he became one of the 7 Ghosts, but..

For some reason, 07-Ghost always makes me a bit teary :(
Well, this coming from a person who cried when Mikage died >__<'' (on a re-read too...)

So yeah~ I already downloaded chapter 61 of Psyren a couple days ago, but I'm feeling anxious reading it XDD
Psyren makes my anxiety level run so high, so I figured I'll save it for the weekend XD

XDDD I'm on a Project Runway spreeeeee :P

I started watching Project Runway Australia, and most of the contestants are really quirky!
Not because of the accent though, but their personalities :D

So for the first episode, they had to design an evening dress.

Something about Mark is really reminding me of Christian from PR5
They're both pretty full of themselves in an amusing air, which makes me want to support them :3
Well, Christian is really talented though, but I'm unsure about Mark yet :P

Leigh's design was pretty crazy, but it worked really well :D I really like it! At first when he was choosing the fabric, I was a bit worried about his colour/pattern choice, but good thing it worked out well :D
And Petrova too~ I'm rooting for her ^^

lol I totally agree with the judges about Brent's design XD It's great without that ugly black blotch XDD
I knew he was gonna stay compared to Alison though, since at least he tried to hit the mark ^^

I think... PRA is a bit too similar to PR. At least Iman of PRC tried to change up the dialogue and all that, but PRA is like.. a complete rip-off of PR. That host (forgot her name) says the same things as Heidi Klum .__.

BUT! Good thing there looks like a lot more drama in PRA :D
PRC can be a bit... drama-less, so it's a pity ^^

Anyways, I guess I should go and actually study now >__>

lol So I went to the caf to get dinner, and today's "special dessert night" is "Fresh Fruit Tart Night"

It looked pretty decent, but it was sooo expensive!! Meal card price was $3.85 for a tart that was about 10cm in diameter!
So I resisted the urge to buy it and proceeded to check out.

Then lol the guy in front of me bought a fruit tart (along with the rest of his dinner) and the cashier lady was like "*blah blah*...and the expensive fruit tart" lol!

I literally lol'd right there.

We talked about that for a bit :P
Really though, almost $4 for a fruit tart.. that's friggin' expensive!
Off-campus prices are definitely so much cheaper!

$4 is like... Cumpari's (specialty dessert/gelato place) price is that, but that place is over-priced anyways XD

But yeah... just had to rant about that :/
Oh, and today was also "Korean Night", in which the food... well, can't say it's really anything special :/
It was like... a pork roast (with a Korean sauce I think) and these chicken breast... which really isn't anything special.

Kim's design this time around wasn't bad :3 It's not really a Spring-y dress, but the dress is cute.
Genevieve's dress is a big too formal to be worn as a "day-to-night" look, but it's still a great design.
Sunny and Jessica's really hit the mark though!! I loved their design~
Jason... I think he chose the wrong material :/ And I expected a little more from Adejoke, her execution wasn't as good this time around (Is it just me, or is she kind of slipping?)

Oh, and can't forget Jeff *face-palm* It looked ok, but it's just that whole controversy about the "hand-stitching" :P
And when he was going around in the work room lol! That was hilarious XD He's like... almost crazy XD

*head-desk* Youku is being a pain and it's loading sooooo slow OTL, I've been "watching" on/off since 6PM, and now it's almost 9 .___.;;

Gaaaah! I know I said that Reborn would be my next manga to read, but for some reason, I can't seem even seem to download it, much less get started o__o

Anyways, I kinda went through a bunch more random manga, and I got to "Hiiro no Isu", which is incredibly captivating.
It's listed as "shoujo", but it's more like

(Mystery/Suspense)Drama + (Historical/Fantasy)Setting

...and I don't know why that turned out to be like a math equation. And it's historical since (castles + royalty = historical) to me :P
But yes! Very intriguing :3
I like how so many things are interconnected :D
And when things are interconnected, you know the plot is awesome and full of love(ly drama) :D :D

Also, peeking at the Baka-Update recommendations in association with Hiiro no Isu, Cat Street is apparently closely correlated.
Which reminds me... the mood/feel of Cat Street is similar to that of Hiiro no Isu.
A strange sort of...... detachment, yet...

Project Runway Ca-Ca-Canadaaaa

I just finished watching the fifth episode of Project Runway Canada > 3<

I remember from the get-go, that I really like Sunny :D
He's so talented, and he's won 3 times in a row!!
That's friggin' amazing if you ask me~

It was so sad that Baylor got sent home though :(
I think Kim did a worse job, but... I donno...
And Sunny was so sad too! He cried :( Well.. so did Kim.
But Baylor was pretty awesome!

lols~ I remember in episode 1 when 2 people dropped out. This girl dropped out due to anxiety attacks, and Danio dropped out because of the ulcers...
D: And when they showed that image at the end of episode 4... Danio passed away :(
That was so sad, since he was pretty talented, just that he had health issues that really impaired him :( :(

But yaaaa!! Go Sunny <3 He's amazing ^^
And Jason really impressed me in this episode, that jacket was made beautifully!
But Sunny will be #1! I just know it >:3

As a total off-topic note, listening to the Gundam SEED OST really makes me want to watch it again o__O And maybe perhaps watch Destiny after that too lol

Hello Snow, Good-Morning!

So this past weekend, it's been snowing on and off.
Sometimes for about 5 minute, and sometimes hours.
This morning, it has finally accumulated--meaning it won't melt off the very same day.

I know it's Spring and all, but I'm really not surprised that it's snowing :P
Must be getting used to it then, huh? :/
Abnormal weather, that is.

So strangely enough, snow makes everyone late, but not me o__o
I was actually early for my 8AM class.
It was... a very strange experience lol

I have this strange pet peeve that I don't like seeing stepped-on snow that's brown/dirtied.
And surprisingly, all the snow today that I've seen are not brown O__o
That... put me in a good mood.

Don't get me wrong, I still don't like walking in thin snow since it's always soooo slippery.
And I'm usually not a morning person.
Just like.... the serenity of it is infectious in a way.

So yes, that's enough about snow :P

I'm considering on changing my name/LJ since I feel that my LJ is very disorganized.
And whenever I think about that, I think "Why not just make a blog like I used to?"
It's really just a circle that never ends :/

I feel like I've outgrown the "momogiri" alias.
I really despised that people would interpret momogiri into a variation of momogirl.
Of course, there's only significance to that name for myself only, since I'm the only one who know's that momogiri is a (strange) abbreviation of Onigiri Momoko o__o;;

Oh well :P

Definitely not so attached to GS now, and I never finished GS Destiny either, so... GS just really ebbed off on me lol
